Medical Support Center

Leadership

Greg Keelen, DO, FAAEM, FACEP

CEO and Board Chair

Dr. Keelen is a distinguished healthcare leader and the visionary founder of Medical Support Center, an organization dedicated to helping physicians maintain independence and optimize practice operations. With over 35 years of experience in hospital departments and diverse healthcare roles, he has developed deep insights into the challenges and opportunities within the medical field.

Medical Support Center is managed entirely by physicians—ensuring that those who understand the profession best are the ones guiding and supporting fellow doctors. By providing essential tools and shared resources, including technology, scheduling, credentialing, and revenue management optimization, the center enables physicians to focus on patient care while running efficient, sustainable practices.

Dr. Keelen is committed to helping practices navigate regulatory challenges, such as the No Surprises Act, while leveraging economies of scale to secure better in-network rates and increase reimbursements through IDR strategies. He also educates physicians on the business side of medicine to protect them from exploitation by private equity firms and profit-driven entities that prioritize financial gain over physician autonomy and patient care.

Through physician-first payroll systems and operational efficiencies, Medical Support Center fosters an environment where medical professionals can thrive. Under Dr. Keelen’s leadership, the organization champions a model that prioritizes autonomy, innovation, and excellence—ensuring that physicians, not corporate interests, shape the future of healthcare.
